- The mounting of the handlebar is only possible on motorcycles that have appropriate risers with a handlebar clamping of Ø22.2 mm.
- All cables and Bowden cables must be routed in such a way that they are free of kinks and stresses during all steering and compression movements and that there is sufficient distance to chafing points. The bending radius of the brake hoses must not be less than 40 mm. When the steering wheel is fully turned, with the engine running, the engine speed must not change to either side.
- Ensure that all operating parts on the handlebars are in the correct position, even when the steering wheel is fully turned. The handbrake cylinder or the reservoirs must be in the correct working position.
- Ensure that the handlebars and their attachments are free to move and that there is sufficient steering deflection to each side. It must be possible to move the handlebar easily from steering stop to steering stop.
- After assembly, perform a functional check of the brake, clutch, throttle, lights and horn.
Check the approval of the handlebar for your motorcycle using the current ABE (see expert opinion)! The registration for non-listed models is possible in many cases after consultation with the TÜV/DEKRA test center according to §19.2.
